About Your Council

Council meets on the third Wednesday of every month, excluding January and on the second Wednesday in December. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Moulamein Administration Office, except for December's Meeting which is held at an alternate location within the Shire each year. The meetings are open to the Public.

Wakool Shire is made up of three (3) Wards, being A, B & C. The following is a list of the Councillors & the Wards they represent.

A Ward - Includes Murray Downs, Tooleybuc, Koraleigh with the border being just outside the town of Barham & Moulamein.

Representatives are:

B Ward - Includes Moulamein & Wakool with the boundary being just outside Barham Town.

C Ward - Includes basically the town of Barham & along the River (East Barham Road).

Meeting Notices are placed in the Local papers and copies of the monthly business paper is provided to libraries within the Shire, Council's business centre and in both the Moulamein and Barham Offices, for the public to view.

If you wish to place a proposal before Council for their consideration, then you need to Contact Mr Peter Arthur, Corporate Services  Manager at the Moulamein Office, two weeks prior to the meeting date, to enable the matter to be placed in the Business Paper and on the Agenda for the Meeting.

Council's Management Plan has been adopted, for the 2007/2008 Financial Year. Please see under the Heading of About Council/Council Documents to view or print a copy of the Management Plan. The Management Plan is an outline of where the budget is allocated to & more as it sets out where Council heading for the next five (5) years.
