PERFORMANCE TARGETS:

Develop adequate sites and suitable land for industry.

STATEMENT OF MEANS:

Engage assistance of state and regional development.

Seek contributions to assist infrastructure up grades.

PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT:

Number of new and expanding businesses locating into the Shire.

Community, Business and Industry Facilitation

Community organisations and a number of Business and Industry projects throughout the Shire have received Government assistance for business planning, project funding, expansion programs, feasibility studies and expert advice from trade associations.

Throughout the year the needs of business and industry development within the Shire were argued in many forums and Government Agencies to provide assistance to existing businesses, development projects taking place and outlining the future opportunities existing in the Shire to entrepreneurs.

The future of projects being attracted to & starting up in the Shire, is heavily reliant on the availability of employees and suitable accommodation to service the projects with the labour content required. Should the majority of the labour force reside within the Shire, business services to accommodate a growing population will be addressed.
