2009 Business Excellence Awards

Wakool Shire will again host its Business Excellence Awards in April 2009.

Nominations must be received by Council no later than Monday March 9, 2009 at which time the formal judging process will commence. Winners will be announced at a special presentation dinner on Thursday April 30, 2009 at the Barham Services Club.

The nomination process will be even simpler for the 2009 event and will certainly encourage participation from across the shire.

Categories will include:

Best retail business
Best Manufacturing Business
Best Trades or Professional Services Business
Best Tourism & Hospitality Business
Individual Customer Service Award
Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Award
Most Outstanding Community Event
Outstanding Contribution made by a Community (not for profit) Group
Most Outstanding Business of the Year

The Wakool Shire Council Most Outstanding Business of the Year, will be selected by judges from among category winners.Collect a nomination form and help acknowledge the dedication, strength and determination of business in the Wakool Shire.

2009 Business Excellence Award Presentations - Published: 04 Feb 2009

The 2009 Business Excellence Award Presentations will be held at the Barham Services Club Auditorium from 6.30pm on Thursday April 30th. The evening includes a three course dinner and entertainment by EX AFL Star and Celebrity presenter Glen Manton.

Council encourages all nominated individuals, businesses and Committees along with any other interested persons across the Shire to attend this gala evening.

Tickets are available for purchase from Wakool Shire Offices in Barham and Moulamein. Individual tickets can be purchased or tables of eight or ten at a cost of $38 per head.

The Award Categories include:

Best Retail Business
Best Trades or Professional Services Business
Best Tourism & Hospitality Business
Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Award
Individual Customer Service Award
Most Outstanding Community Event
Most Outstanding Contribution made by a Community (not for profit) Group & most outstanding Business of the Year

Winners of the 2008 Business Excellence Awards - Published: 23 Apr 2008

Wakool Shire Country Energy 2008 Business Excellence Awards presentation dinner was held on Thursday 17th April at the Barham RSL Club, and has been hailed as a great success for local business houses.

See below the Categories and Winners of Each - Congratulations and Well done to all those who participated in Country Energy & Wakool Shire Councils first Business Excellence Awards. Hopefully this will be an ongoing annual event.
