National Spot a Rabbit Campaign - Published: 13 May 2009

Residents are being encouraged to join a national challenge to record data about rabbits, from at least 5000 sites across Australia.

May is RabbitScan month, and individuals and groups in the area can help scientists map rabbit populations by scanning their local area for rabbits and signs of their damage, and adding that to a Google Map.

WIRES Immediate Rescue & Care Courses - Published: 23 Mar 2006
Wires is the largest wildlife rescue service in Australia, with 30 branches spread throughout NSW, with approximately 2000 volunteer carers rescuing sick and injured animals. more ..

Environmental Monitoring - Published: 14 Aug 2009

The aims of this Section are to have an impact on the Shire's natural and built environment through good management, monitoring and the approvals process. Also to assist the Land and Water Management Plan process and Landcare Groups. Monitoring of intensive agricultural developments within the Shire, including feedlots, has continued.
