Waste & Recycling

Last modified: May 14, 2009 - 10:56 AM

The Waste & Recycling Contracts that Council has jointly implemented with Gannawarra & Swan Hill Rural City Council continues to provide cost effective services for our residents.

Council has taken advantage of a regionally based scrap steel removal contract, that will ensure that scrap steel is diverted from the waste stream coming into landfills will be regularly collected.

The tip maintenance at Koraleigh, Goodnight, Moulamein and Wakool has now been contracted out to the Twigg Group and their resources and expertise ensures proper compaction of the waste in the trenches, thus inreasing the life of each cell.
