Dog Registration

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER MY DOG, IF SO HOW?

Firstly, yes all dogs have to be microchipped and registered with Council under the NSW Companion Animal Legislation.

Steps to Register your Dog

  1. Obtain forms from Council's Offices, either in Barham or Moulamein.  If the dog is already microchipped please inform staff - as a different form is required to the normal registration ones.

  2. Dog must be taken to vets to be microchipped. The vet needs to sign a section on the form and record microchip number.

  3. Bring form in to Council's Offices when paying registration fees. The fees are for the lifetime of the dog, however please note that if you move interstate will have to re-register with new Council as neither the registration or the fees are transferable.

FEES FOR DOG REGISTRATIONS

  • Desexed Dogs = $40.00
  • Entire Dog = $150.00
  • Desexed Dog owned by Pensioner (Aged or Returned Services) = $15.00
