Wakool Shire Mayor Rod Chalmers returned to the chair unopposed at the special Council meeting held on Wednesday. The election sees Cr Chalmers into his second consecutive year as mayor after being elected in 2008.
Cr Chalmers said he looks forward to another term as Mayor and being part of a positive and supportive team who are well equipped to deal with the continuing challenges.
Cr Phil O’Neill was also returned as Deputy Mayor unopposed.
